Job Summary
Kennametal is looking for an experienced Global Product Manager for our Hole-Finishing and PCD Round-Tools Products.
You will be responsible for your product categories within the Kennametal Metalcutting Demand Generation Team.
Managing product lifecycle and all aspects of the marketing mix, our product managers directly impact and drive the complete value stream and portfolio composition.
This position develops strategy and vision, working closely with commercial and engineering teams to translate trends and market requirements into world class tooling solutions for our customers.
Tasks:
Owns Product life Cycle Management for our Reaming, Fineboring and complex Holefinishing Tools.
Will take the lead on all PCD Round Tools platforms
Develops the marketing strategy by maintaining and socializing a Product Roadmap to generate a compelling pipeline of new product ideas and projects
Owns new product commercialization and takes an active role to achieve product line sales, market share growth and profitability to plan by region
Provides direction in communication, customer interaction, positioning and further standardization of our complex Holefinishing and PCD tooling platforms
Assesses product performance and price positioning of the product lines.
Defines proper actions accordingly to adjust to the current and future market environment
Support the global commercial and regional product management teams with advanced level product trainings and strategic guidance
Liaises with operations teams like Supply Chain, (Strategic) Manufacturing and purchasing to improve leverage and drive synergies with the demand generation team.
Requirements:
Bachelor s in Engineering or Business Management with a strong technical background.
An MBA or proficiency with metal cutting tools considered a strong advantage.
5 8 years of relevant work experience
Proven experiences in leading, organizing and implementing sales and marketing initiatives in a truly international setting
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities concurrently
Strategic business acumen while providing strong customer relationship management skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration and inter-personal skills
Very good English language skills are mandatory, German language skills are an advantage
Willingness to travel globally
